In 1984, My affection for music won over the engineer education at the university to give birth to first Nilwala cassette. It was " Jothi Mela", a collection of songs sung by late H.R. Jothipala.

Since then NILWALA has come a long way struggling with then giants of the audio industry to become the number one cassette maker the sri lanka.

More than 75% of the most popular and prestigious singers in the country works hand  in the with our establishment to offer vocal  pleasure of the highest plateau to a nation of music lovers. We have already secure the highest market share of cassette industry by selling more than 60% of total distribution.

Our Involvement in CD industry commenced just 3 years ago. How ever by the end of this year we  are confident to celebrate the issues of 100 CDS to the local and global  market at the end of year 2000.

Our superiority in the Cassette and CD is not easily won. It was done by  breaking barriers of traditions to offer a novel rhythm of music to music satisfy the music lovers of the era who cherish a true change.
